I am letting the subconscious take its turn to bring up ideas and thoughts about this next song and just let things come out and when you do that sometimes unexpected things come into focus. It seems that the more you let go and trust in brainstorming etc. that the possibilities are endless. I brought up a flush of ideas one seemed to keep nagging at me for more attention than the rest. The idea I liked the most was about makin a livin and I decided to go with that one and if you listen to the song you will get the full story I am trying to convey.
Than you for reading and listening
Here are 10 cliches and perspectives:
Well here we are at week 3, I guess that means we are half way there (sounds like a good song title) and we are to deviate from the norm. This new song instead of using 12 bars for the verse I used 16 and I hid the chorus in the verse. I didn't really plan it that way it was just where the lyrics took me. These songs take a tremendous amount of work but they are revealing new things about how to approach songwriting. There are limitless possibilities as to what you can do which is exciting, when I get one idea paving the way another comes along with it and I'm starting to lose that mental cramp that can get in the way of art. I am actually enjoying this round of songwriting.
